 Two day fast and food drive is big success!!! Greenville, SC--More than a ton and a half of food…3,036 pounds of it was collected  during a two-day drive which ended on Saturday Night. The Liquid Highway on East North Street welcomed the staff of the Metamorphosis Church to the rooftop of the coffeehouse in this unique effort to bring in items for food banks and shelters over the summer. |

 Church & Coffeehouse Team for Unique Food Drive
Greenville, SC—Hunger Hurts Greenville, the 48 hour Fast & Food Drive will kick off this evening at 8pm at Liquid Highway at 2407 East North Street. The event begins with guest speaker Greenville City Mayor Pro-Tem Lillian Brock-Flemming and Director of Loaves & Fishes, Susan S. Douglas. Immediately following remarks from the guest speakers, Pastor Chad Bowen of Metamorphosis Church and his staff will climb onto the roof to embark on a 48 hour fast, encouraging people to bring non-perishable food items to be distributed to local organizations including Loaves & Fishes, Triune Mercy Center, Samaritan House and the Gateway House. |
