Greenville, SC—Hunger Hurts Greenville, the 48 hour Fast & Food Drive will kick off this evening at 8pm at Liquid Highway at 2407 East North Street. The event begins with guest speaker Greenville City Mayor Pro-Tem Lillian Brock-Flemming and Director of Loaves & Fishes, Susan S. Douglas. Immediately following remarks from the guest speakers, Pastor Chad Bowen of Metamorphosis Church and his staff will climb onto the roof to embark on a 48 hour fast, encouraging people to bring non-perishable food items to be distributed to local organizations including Loaves & Fishes, Triune Mercy Center, Samaritan House and the Gateway House. The Hunger Hurts Fast & Food Drive has been given a generous jump start with a $500 donation of non-perishable food items from Costco Wholesale on Woodruff Road.
